New Thai restaurant and takeaway officially opens in Kenilworth
A new restaurant offering Thai fusion dishes has officially opened in the centre of Kenilworth.
Nur Nur Paradise welcomed guests for the first time on Friday (November 10) after months of work on the Warwick Road eatery.
Lee Wongsalees and Chamtama Nimceam took over the closed restaurant - formerly Thai Sarocha - earlier this year and have been working hard to renovate the interior to create a more contemporary feel.
While the duo - who are both from Thailand - will be hosing a number of complimentary dinners for local business owners in the coming weeks, they opened to the public yesterday.
"We have made a new bar, made more seating space, and added in new decoration," Chamtama told Nub News.
"We want people to relax where they are sitting down - in a comfy space.
"We want to do a modern look.
"It was more old fashioned before, but we want people to feel like they are at home and feel relaxed."
The duo, who met working at Thai food chain Giggling Squid, are putting their years of hospitality experience into practice with the Nur Nur Paradise, which they say will be unlike any other Thai restaurant.
The menu offers a wide variety of freshly-prepared food, from traditional Thai dishes, to Western food given a South East Asian twist.
"We have a picture of Thai food, but we want to add in more combinations with Western dishes," Lee added.
"We will be doing different food, more fusion.
"We will still do the traditional Thai food, but also English food with a Thai taste.
"We will have more options, lots of fusion."
The new name 'Nur Nur' also promises a lot from the new eatery - roughly translating from Thai as 'delicious'.
The business will open fully for the first time this weekend for both diners in the restaurant and for takeaway.
