Students at Kenilworth School are calling on local businesses to get involved with an upcoming 'eco fayre' next month.

Sixth formers in the Eco Committee have announced the event on Thursday 26 April as part of the school's Earth Day events.

"The main aim is to promote sustainable shopping whether that's from sustainable brands or local businesses rather that buying from major TNCs," the committee told Nub News.

"We are looking to engage more with local businesses so that we can encourage them to join the trade fayre and come and sell their products and promote themselves."

The event will run on Thursday 26 April from 5pm and lasting until around 9pm.

There will be a small fee for a stall and entry to the event, however all proceeds will be going towards the Earth Day charity.

If anyone would like a stall then can they DM the Instagram or Facebook pages with their email - or email [email protected] FAO Eco Fayre.

The Eco Committee has recently helped move plants from Kenilworth's Talisman Square to the Glasshouse Lane school site, and has also met with Kenilworth Town Council to help see how the local community can do its bit in tackling climate change.
