A Kenilworth school has been included in the Good Schools Guide which lists the top five per cent of state and private schools in the UK.

Crackley Hall School is one of 1,300 UK schools to have been included in the latest edition, of more than 30,000 nationwide.

An editor visited the St Joseph's Park school in June to interview the headmaster, observe lessons and talk to teachers and parents, with Crackley Hall now included in the guide for the first time.

Headmaster Rob Duigan said he felt the guide had "captured the warmth and energy" of the school, and said he was "delighted" by the announcement.

"We are delighted that they have recognised the all-round excellence of our first-class school, and especially our collective enthusiasm for all aspects of learning and the individual care and attention each and every one of our pupils receives," he said.

The 2,500-word online review, which will be published in the next edition, includes insights into teaching and learning as well as various extra curricular activities.

Crackley Hall is hosting open events in October and November for September 2022 entry, details of which can be found online here.

Mr Duigan said he is confident parents will be able to see for themselves why the school has been included in the guide.

"As Covid restrictions ease, we are looking forward to welcoming prospective families to the school, so they can find out for themselves what a Crackley education could do for their child."
