Here are the biggest Kenilworth planning stories from the past week.
HS2 Cutting Plans
HS2 has revealed plans for a 2km cutting in Cubbington.
The plans, submitted to Warwick District Council, show that the cutting would be up to 12 metres deep.
Extending between Coventry Road and Mill Lane, the Cubbington Cutting will see a large number of trees planted along its length to mask it from view and also to replace any removed for it to be built.

Barn Appeal
An appeal has been lodged after district councillors threw out a scheme to extend a Dalehouse Lane barn right next to HS2 due to its impact on the rural character of the building.
After a lengthy discussion at a Warwick District Council planning committee meeting in May, councillors were split over the decision, but said that Hope Barn - which is 50m away from the high-speed rail line - should not be altered.
The decision was later branded "ridiculous" by Kenilworth Town Council members who had supported the application.
But fresh hope for the scheme has now come as an appeal has been lodged against the refusal.

Castle Farm Progress
The steel frame for the new Castle Farm Recreation Centre is close to being completed as work on site continues to progress.
Demolition of the old sports hall was completed on July 31, with Kier Construction moving on site on August 3.
A report presented to Kenilworth Town Council last week states that the steel frame will be completed this December.
The next stage of the project will then see the slabs that create the upper level flooring installed by January 30 2023.
