Here are the biggest Kenilworth planning stories from the past week.

Garden Centre to Retirement Village

A Knowle garden centre could be pulled down and turned into a retirement village after plans were approved on appeal.

The site will see 39 care suites and 46 care apartments built.

Industrial Land for Sale

A 19 hectare industrial area on the outskirts of Kenilworth has been put up for sale with estate agents Savills.

The 'Kenilworth Gateway' land, next to the A46 and A452, forms part of a wider development in the area.

Planning permission was granted for the 'employment' land, alongside 550 houses and a primary school in the area in December.

Garden Fence Must Go

A Kenilworth household may be forced to pull down a two metre high garden fence after planners refused a planning appeal.

The fence had already been put up at the Elizabeth Way home when Warwick District Council refused a retrospective application last November.

And an appeal, lodged against the decision in January, has now been refused by planning inspectors.
