A 19 acre industrial area on the outskirts of Kenilworth has been put up for sale with estate agents Savills.

The 'Kenilworth Gateway' land, next to the A46 and A452, forms part of a wider development in the area.

Planning permission was granted for the 'employment' land, alongside 550 houses and a primary school in the area in December.

Work has already started on the area, with a new spine road being built for both the housing and the industrial area.

Whilst a price has not been set for the land, potential buyers have until Tuesday 14 June to submit offers.

The brochure says: "The site is in an ideal location to maximise linkages with established and successful manufacturing and R&D clusters within the Coventry and Warwickshire sub-region and the wider region.

"Nearby occupiers include Jaguar Land Rover, LEVC, Meggitt and Rolls Royce."

The site is currently has a bungalow and some outbuildings on it, and a small woodland on the boundary with the A46.

Warwickshire County Council has already pledged to spend £6.6million on redesigning the A46/A452 roundabout next to the area to deal with the huge developments on the east side of town.

The roundabout is set to have traffic lights installed, and the entrances expanded to three lanes. A new exit may also be added to allow access to the proposed employment land.

The roundabout will also need to accommodate the K2L cycleway. A final design is expected this year.
