Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.

Estate Objections

Parish councillors have doubled down on their objections to plans for 330 new homes in Hockley Heath.

Developer Taylor Wimpey has submitted the plans for Aylesbury Road following "extensive community consultation".

Plans state half the homes would be designated affordable, and the scheme would also include public open space, play areas, community garden and footpaths.

Lapworth Parish Council - alongside around 200 locals - first objected to the application in February, but has this month said its objection still stands and its issues are "still not being addressed".

Industrial Park

Multiple objections have been submitted to plans for a major new industrial park on green belt land on the edge of Solihull.

Indurent Management Limited has applied for planning permission for six industrial units on land north of Kineton Lane in Hockley Heath.

Calling the development 'Indurent Park', the application lodged with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council asks for permission for farmland to be converted into 900,000 square feet of industrial and logistics space.

However, the scheme has already received major pushback from locals, with Hockley Heath Parish Council objecting to the plans.

Roundabout Saga

A Kenilworth councillor jokingly asked "do miracles happen" as the news of further delays to a major roadworks project were relayed to the town council.

Cllr Peter Jones' words came at the most recent Kenilworth Town Council meeting when it was revealed the works on the new Stansfield Grove roundabout had been pushed back once again.

The project will eventually see a new roundabout built on Glasshouse Lane, at the junction with Stansfield Grove and the new Stoneleigh View housing estate.
