Kenilworth planning roundup: 2,500 houses stalled, cafe's refurb and scrubland plans
Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Stoneleigh Scheme Stalls
Plans to build 2,500 houses in Stoneleigh looked to have stalled, over two years after planning permission was granted for the development.
The scheme for Kings Hill Lane was given outline permission in December 2021, despite objections from locals.
However, a so-called reserved matters application - which would consider the designs of the homes - is yet to come forward, meaning building work is still a long way away.

Cafe's Refurb
Town councillors have withdrawn their objections to plans to repaint the front of a popular Kenilworth café.
Kenilworth Town Council had originally objected to a planning application for Time for Tea's makeover, saying the colour was not in keeping with the local area.
The Castle Hill eatery had asked for permission to paint the windows and door frames of its grade II listed building black and white.
-------------
Scrubbed Up
Plans to build two five-bedroom homes on a piece of scrubland in Burton Green have been put forward to the district council.
Westwood Grange Homes Ltd has applied for planning permission for the two detached properties on Red Lane.
Plans state the 0.4 hectare plot would also contain a wildflower meadow to "promote biodiversity".
