A new general manager has taken over at Kenilworth's Michelin Star pub.
Pawel Skrzypinski took over at The Cross at Kenilworth in September building on his 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Pawel has worked in a number of high-end restaurants including Seaham Hall Hotel in County Durham and Opus in Birmingham.
He worked at the latter for almost five years, eventually becoming the director of the business before starting his own hospitality consultancy firm.
The Cross said: "A very warm welcome to Pawel, who has built up a wealth of hospitality experience since he secured a Foundation Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Business Management at University College Birmingham.
"With a passion for fine wine and excellent service, Pawel's other achievements include winning the Business Hospitality and Tourism category in the Future Faces of Birmingham Awards and reaching the finals of the Academy of Culinary Arts Annual Award of Excellence and the Gold Service Scholarship."
The New Street eatery - which is also in the Estrella Damm UK Top 50 gastropubs - is owned by Andreas Antona who was recently announced the Independent Restaurateur of the Year at The Cateys awards.
Described by The Times as "the godfather of modern Birmingham food" he also launched Antona at Home, a nationwide meal and food delivery service, during the pandemic.
The dishes have been such a hit that Andreas will be launching the 'Eureka' cookbook in January 2023 inspired by the success of the simple but stunning restaurant-quality home cook recipes.
Housed in a grade II listed 19th-century inn and former schoolhouse, the Cross is no stranger to receiving accolades.
The pub sits in an exclusive list of 164 one-star venues, having retained its Michelin Star for the eighth consecutive year in 2022.
