Organisers have announced the full details for the Kenilworth in Bloom Garden Competition 2022.

The event, which runs across June and July, encourages homeowners, businesses and public buildings across the town to smarten up their green spaces.

Judges will give awards for the best back gardens and best front gardens/frontages.

And there will also be awards for the best large, medium and small sized gardens in the two classes - judges will decide whether gardens are small, medium or large.

The annual gardening event, which has run in the town for over 20 years, took on a different form during the pandemic, with entrants having to send off photographs of their gardens to the judges.

But this year entrants will be contacted by the committee to arrange a viewing in person, and will even be able to invite them round at the best time of day to show off their work.

A separate competition is also set to be run for schools in the Kenilworth area.

Entry is free and open to everybody in Kenilworth with organisers encouraging residents to "share the joy of gardening".

Entrants must be registered by 10 July.

Email [email protected] or telephone 01926511183 for further information, or pick up an entry form from Kenilworth Library.

Judging will take place in August and an awards night will be held in September.
