A Kenilworth-based marketing agency has said it is "very proud" to have been working with the most recent winner of The Apprentice.

Marnie Swindells, who won series 17 of the hit BBC show, has been using LoudLocal since the start of the year to help grow the online presence of her gym brand BRONX.

The company - which eventually saw her win against Rochelle Anthony in the season finale - is based in Camberwell, London and has welcomed over 600 people through its doors for lessons since opening in February.

But for Kenilworth's LoudLocal, it has been a whirlwind few months helping to build the gym's website and boost its social media presence.

"When we were on the first call with her she just happened to mention she was on the new series of The Apprentice," LoudLocal co-founder Leon Hidderly told Nub News.

"We were really happy we were working with a contestant - and it was only the second week in. Then as each week passed she was staying in!

"We were working on the BRONX gym website and we supported her throughout the show with the business.

"It was getting quite surreal seeing her on TV and then speaking to her the next day.

"It's a pleasure working with Marnie, she is exactly like she came across on TV.

"She is very down to earth, and it feels like we've known her for years already."

Launched in early 2021, LoudLocal was founded by Leon and his partner Priya Pandit - who both said they have been fans of The Apprentice for years.

But this year's season had that extra added pressure for the couple who needed to get gold medal-winning boxer Marnie's website ready in time for the final.

"Marnie didn't actually know that she had won The Apprentice because they film two endings, so she found out at the same time as us," Leon added.

"Although she had joked with us saying 'next week you could be working with Lord Alan Sugar'!

"Then on the day of the final we were frantically trying to get her website sorted because the traffic volume to it was absolutely mad.

"She also changed the brand of the business while she was on the show, so we were trying to make sure people went to the right place online.

"And we had to compete with hundreds and hundreds of articles, but we managed it in the end."

Since the show finished, and Marnie scooped the £250,000 prize money, LoudLocal has continued to work on BRONX - although they are still yet to meet Lord Sugar!

The Kenilworth company has helped her with search optimisation, website design, developing a membership system and has just finished developing a brand new app that will shortly launch on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

And Marnie has even featured the Queen's Road firm on her social media, thanking it for the team's hard work.

"There is a lot of pride for us. We are very small and just coming to the end of our first three years," Leon added.

"We are still growing the business.

"There are so many ups and downs in running your own business, and sometimes you think about throwing the towel in but it's things like this that keep you going and make it all worthwhile."

And having already sung the praises of LoudLocal to Lord Sugar, Marnie said: "Cannot express how grateful I am to LoudLocal.

"They are professional, passionate and willing to do everything in their power to help.

"No problem you are facing can't be solved with them on your side.

"I feel like they are part of the team because they are so invested in making my business a success. Could not recommend them highly enough!"
