A flurry of objections and notes of support have been submitted to the latest plans to keep a holiday igloo in Burton Green.
In December Warwick District Council refused a retrospective application for two holiday igloos on a parcel of land off Hob Lane, saying they harmed the openness of the green belt.
Now a fresh application for just one of the pods - which has already been installed - has been submitted, saying the second pod and a timber cabin will be removed from the plot.
The application has been backed by over 50 notices of support.
Jessica Boyce wrote: "I support this application. It is clear to see that the owners have taken the previous comments on board and made changes in line with them.
"As there is an air bnb on the neighbouring plot this demonstrates the requirement for this type of accommodation and the majority of the objection comments seem to be malicious unfortunately.
"The official documentation and supporting reports are all positive and in favour of this application."
While Chang-Tsun Li added: "The igloo is very well-designed, and the site is wisely chosen to minimise the impact.
"Given there are other AirBNB accommodations nearby, this beautiful igloo will provide more choices for visitors to the area and contribute to the local economy of the community."
However, as with the previous application, many of the supportive comments come from people who do not live in Burton Green. Some also do not include any reasoning for their support.
Of the 30 objections, most are from Burton Green locals.
Jennifer White wrote: "It cannot be said to be a desperate need for holiday accommodation in this area, sufficient to warrant an infringement on the precious Green Belt.
"There are no special circumstances to justify the development."
An application - from a different applicant - for a single, bigger holiday cabin on the site was refused in 2022.
But the latest scheme said the single igloo would not cause any harm to the green belt.
"The timber igloo is of high-quality design and appearance, with a little more of a rural feel than some adjacent development (the converted Water Tower being a case in point)," it added.
"That said, the local area features buildings of varied design and scale, including nearby farm buildings.
"Against this backdrop, the igloo does not appear incongruous or otherwise out of character."
