HS2 has announced yet another road closure for Cromwell Lane in Burton Green as works on the Burton Green tunnel progress.

The busy road will be shut for 24 hours a day from Monday 12 May to Saturday 31 May 2025.

The works will see some of the temporary piles located under the current Cromwell Lane diversion removed.

"To carry out these works in a safe and secure environment we will need to close Cromwell Lane," an HS2 statement said.

Cromwell Lane will remain open for pedestrians and cyclists.

"These works will be followed by utility diversion works that will be undertaken from late spring and throughout 2025," the statement continued.

"We will share further communications on these works once the dates are confirmed."

A community drop-in event will be held in Burton Green on Thursday 24 April 2025 to find out more about the works.
