All trains through Kenilworth will be cancelled this Saturday (August 13) due to strikes by members of driver union ASLEF, West Midlands Railway has announced.

And the rail operator has warned of knock-on disruption to services on Sunday morning (August 14) as trains will be in the wrong places overnight.

WMR is urging passengers to check their journeys in advance, with more strike action planned for Thursday 18 August and Saturday 20 August.

While the operator will be running a limited service on those days elsewhere across the network, all services along the Nuneaton to Leamington Spa line will also be cancelled on August 18 and 20.

An amended timetable will also be in operation on Friday 19 August and early morning services on Sunday 21 August may be disrupted again.

Jonny Wiseman, customer experience director at WMR, said: "It is disappointing that our customers will continue to be impacted this month due to ongoing industrial action and I am urging passengers to check their journeys in advance.

"On Saturday 13 August we will not be able to run any services at all and we are advising passengers not to travel.

"Passengers holding tickets purchased in advance can travel on an alternative date or receive a full refund."
