Here are some more photos from today's race!

Following its cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic the annual Kenilworth Duck Race has returned.

Organised by Kenilworth Lions the race usually takes place on Boxing Day but was postponed because the river was dangerously high.

Instead organisers hosted the event today, January 1, with crowds heading down to Abbey Fields to cheer on the ducks.

And there was a new element to this year's event, with a new corporate race taking to the course before the main spectacle.

Entries from 18 different businesses raced along the river, with The Gentry Hair Salon's duck crossing the line first and taking the £760 prize pot which will be donated to The Myton Hospices.

This was followed by the 1,500 smaller yellow ducks.

First to cross the line was number 885, followed by 419, 886 and 465. The 'owners' of each will receive a cash prize.
