Future of closed Kenilworth eatery remains unclear

The future of a Kenilworth eatery remains unclear, four months after it closed its doors for a "refurbishment".
Laurent on Warwick Road shut in April this year "until further notice" just weeks after a post on social media said new owners were taking over.
A notice in the window at the time said: "We are having a small refurbishment and working some things out so we can be back better than ever and give you the dining experience we are aiming for."
However, the pan-Asian restaurant remains closed and the website has now been taken down and that notice has since been removed from the window.
No posts have been shared on the social media page since May.
Laurent is also listed for sale on Rightbiz, described as a "beautifully appointed restaurant" and "an outstanding opportunity for aspiring restaurateurs or experienced operators looking to take over a thriving business".
It is on the market for £345,000 leasehold or £38,000 to rent per year.
The advert says: "Introducing Laurent — a highly regarded, stylish Pan-Asian and sushi restaurant located at the heart of Kenilworth's vibrant dining scene.
"This established fine-dining destination combines contemporary Asian cuisine with European influences, offering an unforgettable culinary experience that appeals to both locals and visitors alike. "
Nub News has approached Laurent for comment and an update on the reopening, but did not receive a response.
Laurent was opened by Jay Ali, his brother Alum and father Rois, bringing a "Kensington, high end vibe" to Warwickshire.
The family are known locally for having run the Rupali in Tile Hill for many years, as well as a number of other successful restaurants across Coventry.
The business has also recently lost its planning battle with Warwick District Council, being told to rip down a rear terrace that was built without permission.
