District councillors will once again take a vote on whether to allow a controversial holiday igloo to remain in Burton Green.

In December 2023 Warwick District Council refused a retrospective application for two holiday igloos on a parcel of land off Hob Lane, saying they harmed the openness of the green belt.

Now a fresh application for just one of the pods - which has already been installed - has been submitted, saying the second pod and a timber cabin will be removed from the plot.

The application has been backed by over 50 notices of support but there have also been a large number of objections.

Now the scheme will go before the council's planning committee on Tuesday 15 April for consideration.

But a council report has recommended the application be refused planning permission.

"The proposal is considered to be harmful to the character and appearance of the local rural landscape," it said.
