A Midlands-based estate agent has turned its closed Kenilworth branch into a "hub" and a space for its expanding new homes department.

Sheldon Bosley Knight (SBK) shut its office at The Square in the spring, saying it was "not in the SBK style".

Since then the unit has remained vacant, until September when new vinyl stickers on the windows showed it had been repurposed.

Sheldon Bosley Knight custodian, Mike Cleary told Nub News: "Due to the rapid expansion of the business we are using our Kenilworth office as a hub for departments to hot desk and to house our expanding new homes department.

"Sales and lettings can be contacted through the staff there, but may not be represented every day from the office.

"As well as providing a hub for the departments, we also wanted to ensure we do our bit to keep the High Street vibrant and support fellow local businesses."

When the shop closed its doors at the start of the year, staff were redeployed to other branches.

Mr Cleary said at the time the decision was taken following its acquisition of Coventry-based estate agency Robin Jones, which has given the 180-year-old company a long-wanted presence in the city.

The company also has other high street offices in Stratford-upon-Avon, Shipston-on-Stour, Pershore, Evesham, Kineton, Winchcombe, Leamington Spa, Chipping Campden, Nuneaton and Bedworth.

SBK also said it remained committed to serving the Kenilworth community.
