We start this very varied trail in #SponEnd, an inner city area close to the centre of #Coventry, and end with a circuit of the beautiful and ancient Abbey Fields Park, before a sit down, lovely meal, in #Kenilworth near #KenilworthCastle (MEAL is optional).
Our trail takes us through Spon End, Earlsdon, The War Memorial Park, Canley and then University of Warwick land (including Tocil & Gibbet Hill Woods) following Canley Brook and Ford, and then Finham Brook all the way to Kenilworth.
One of many highlights include walking along the characterful, disused old railway line known as the #KenilworthGreenway (which we think is a lovely hidden gem).
We have a second break in the delightful Ancient Abbey Fields Park…before we finish our trail with an explore of this beautifully picturesque area then arriving at the door of our favourite character pub in Kenilworth, for a lovely, hot meal.
This walk is accessible on foot, by bus, train & car depending where you are based. Please ask for details. WE START IN SPON END.
THIS IS NOT A CIRCULAR TRAIL but one option is to park in the centre of Coventry or at the rail station, meet us at the start and make the journey back on train from Kenilworth (10 mins on train)…
