Adapted from Mark Haddon's award-winning novel, this unforgettable story follows fifteen-year-old Christopher, a brilliant mind on a mission to solve the mystery of a neighbour's dead dog. What begins as a detective adventure soon becomes a profound journey of self-discovery, family, and resilience.

Relaxed Performance on Wednesday 30th September 2026
On Wednesday 30th September we are pleased to offer a Relaxed Performance of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. This performance is designed to create a welcoming and comfortable experience for anyone who may benefit from a more flexible theatre environment. This includes autistic audience members, those with sensory sensitivities, people who prefer a gentler atmosphere, families with additional needs to consider, and anyone who would feel more at ease with adjustments in place. What to expect at a Relaxed Performance
To ensure everyone can enjoy the show, we will be making the following adjustments:
- Slightly softened sound and lighting, including reducing sudden loud effects and flashing lights
- Auditorium lights kept partially up to avoid complete darkness
- A relaxed approach to movement and noise – audience members are free to move, fidget, or quietly talk if they need to
- Easy access to break-out spaces, allowing anyone to leave and re-enter the auditorium at any time
- Visual guide and pre-show information available in advance to help familiarise visitors with the theatre and the performance
- Front of House team ready to offer support and assistance throughout your visit
We have a small number of ear defenders available, subject to availability on the day, but please do feel free to bring your own should you need them.
Relaxed Performances are for everyone, but especially for those who may find a traditional theatre setting challenging. We want to ensure all audience members feel confident, comfortable and included.
