Love Jane Austen? The you will love our visit to Stoneleigh Abbey on September 24th. Discover more with a guided tour and an opportunity to see the famous Repton Red book, so called because of the distinctive red leather bindings he choose. These showcased his proposed designs for the house and gardens. A bit of a magician, his book had flaps that could be lifted to show the Leigh family before and after images, should they commission his designs! After the tour there will be tea and cake, included in the price, and a chance to explore the restoration work in the grounds. Spot the Repton designs for yourselves!!
