Kenilworth Wardens put three past Jet Blades to extend their winning run to six games and maintain their impressive start in the Stan Oulds Cup.
Wardens started the better of the two sides, playing the ball calmly and quickly through the lines and creating chances.
Dan Twigger came closest to opening the scoring when his header off a Eamonn Richards corner was frantically cleared off the line.
Debutant Danny Bartle also came close, with two efforts narrowly going the wrong side of the post.
On 25 minutes the excellent Bartle was heavily involved in Wardens' opener.
A routine throw-in went to Bartle, who beat three players before crossing to Guy Pearson who rolled his man before his shot was saved by the Blades keeper, however Twigger was on hand to tap in from close range.
Wardens continued to look more dangerous. Captain Luca Valle's shot from 25 yards out cannoned off the crossbar after a vital fingertip save from the Blades keeper.
Blades started to push for an equalizer pressing harder and pushing Kenilworth back.
However their own shot came from a free kick from Ben Steane, but this was a routine catch for Andy Whitehouse in the wardens goal.
Wardens took a deserved two-goal lead on 43 minutes thanks to a trademark Valle long range wonder goal.
On the half way line, Phil Rudd excellently tackled Steane, the ball fell to Valle who arrowed the ball from 30 yards out onto the inside of the post and into the back of the net.
With Kenilworth two to the good going into the break, the only downside wasBartle having to come off injured.
Following the break the visitors were happy to allow Blades to have possession and defend their lead, whilst trying to hit on the counter.
Neither side did anything of note until the game livened up on 70 minutes.
Wardens came close with a shot from Twigger who could only hit the side netting.
At the other end Alex Waters and James Brewitt put in excellent tackles to stop shots and Andy Whitehouse pulled a brilliant finger tip save from a header to maintain the two-goal cushion.
On 85 minutes Wardens completely stopped expecting a free kick as George Shelton was pushed to the ground. But the referee did not blow his whistle and Waters gave away a clear penalty with a last ditch tackle as the ball was played into the box.
Ben Steane dispatched the penalty for Blades for his second goal in as many weeks.
But any possibility of a Blades equalizer was ended two minutes later.
A long throw from Stan Moss was flicked on by Andy Legg and fell to Pearson. Pearson held off two players and cushioned the ball to Twigger, who volleyed home from close range - Twigger's fifth goal of the season and Pearson's sixth assist.
Speaking after the game Wardens manager Eamonn Richards said: "Jet Blades have a great set up, have a really good side and a great group of lads. Looking forward to seeing them next week at home.
"That was a proper professional performance. We were so organized and disciplined throughout the whole game. From the first minute the game never really felt in doubt.
"And from my point of view once we scored first I felt like it was game over.
"Obviously I think it's a foul in the build up to the goal, but we've only conceded two goals in the past five games and haven't conceded from open play in eight hours.
"Bringing in Danny Bartle is huge, his fitness will improve but considering he hasn't played in three years you can see his class."
