Wednesday 8 May saw the start of the Cotswold Hills League T20 competition for Kenilworth Cricket Club, as they hosted Hunningham's first XI.

After winning the toss, Hunningham elected to bat first.

Their innings got off to a cautious start with early wickets, however Harry King (36) steadied the ship with a gritty knock.

Hunningham CC finished at 111 for eight in their allotted 20 overs, as spin proved tricky to play with Matty Dadswell (3-24) and Darius Potten-Ravenshad (2-24) struck regularly in tandem.

Matt Casey, Babu and a run out from Tom Skinner accounted for the other three wickets.

Despite losing regular wickets Kenilworth were always up with the run rate for Sarfraz Hussain to finish the chase with a six to reach his 50 from 45 balls.

Matthew Casey (16*) provided valuable support, as Kenilworth won by five wickets with 13 balls to spare - 116 for five.

Kenilworth took four points and are top of the North group after one game.
