Kenilworth beat the weather to record six wicket win over Fillongley

Kenilworth Cricket Club not only beat the weather but also visitors Fillongley by six wickets to record a solid win with 11 overs to spare.
The hosts had restricted Fillongley to 134 for ten as Connor Shingler took a very impressive 4-11 from his 12 overs.
Matt Casey added 3-26 from his 10 overs whilst Darius Potten-Ravenshad took 3-12 despite Carty making 50 and Mitchell 36 for the visitors.
Kenilworth had lost 13 of their overs to reach the target but did so in the 27th over as youngster George Baines saw the side home to victory with his unbeaten 58.
He added to Tom Booker's 27 and Stuart Cope 23 as the side reached 135 for four.
Six sides now chase the two promotion spots with three matches of the Warwickshire Cricket League Division One season left.
Kenilworth 2nd XI v. Leamington Khalsa
Rain brought an early end to the second XI's match at Leamington Khalsa as the match was abandoned after 29.5 overs following two weather interruptions.
Kenilworth were sat on 140 for four which left Adey Sellar unbeaten on 36. Dan Horner had hit 34, Dave Smithson 22 and Shyaan Imam 20.
With three matches to go, the side's promotion hopes continue in what will be a close fight for the top two spots in the Warwickshire Cricket League Division Seven East with five sides in the hunt for silverware.
