Kenilworth Sporting have signed centre back Will Hawkins from promotion rivals Fairfield Villa.
Hawkins, who has already played against Sporting twice this season, has made the switch to Sporting from the Bromsgrove club after moving to the Warwickshire area.
Villa, who sit one place above Kenilworth in the Midland Football League Division Two, beat Kenilworth 3-2 in September, before scoring three again in a 3-3 reverse draw at Gypsy Lane.
Kenilworth manager Martin Ascroft said Hawkins showed his class in those two games.
"Having played against Will twice this season already we knew he would be a very good asset to our squad," he said.
"His situation with moving to Kenilworth meant the travelling was becoming hard. I'd like to thank Fairfield Villa for allowing the move to happen as quick as it possibly could."
After signing for the Warwickshire club Hawkins said he was excited to get going.
"After playing against Kenilworth and seeing the facilities, I knew I had to listen to Ash and hear what his plans are moving forward.
"Kenilworth are a young exciting team and I can't wait to get going."
