Warwickshire's High Sheriff will visit Kenilworth during a five-day charity cycle this October, just days before the county hosts one of the biggest women's professional cycling races.
Min Willoughby de Broke will travel 200 miles across Warwickshire to finish in Atherstone the day before the town hosts the Women's Tour time trial on October 6.
As well as showcasing organisations and independent businesses across the county, she is hoping to raise over £10,000 for the High Sheriff's Fund which provides grants to grassroots support groups in Warwickshire.
Lady Willoughby de Broke will stop in Kenilworth on the second day of her trip (October 2) as she travels from Wellesbourne to Witnash.
The final day of cycling has been purposely timed to coincide with the start of stage three of the Women's Tour in Atherstone where Lady Willoughby de Broke will wave the flag to start the event just before midday.
Lady Willoughby de Broke said when she was made High Sheriff she wanted to take part in "something big" that supported the local businesses and organisations that "make Warwickshire the best it can be".
"I am under no illusion that cycling over 200 miles in October will be an easy feat," she added.
"But it is worthwhile if it showcases the beauty of this county and the amazing character and kindness of its residents and raises essential money to help grassroots organisations across the county."
