Lifesaving skills for less: discounted first aid training available in Kenilworth this summer
By James Smith 2nd Jul 2026
Kenilworth businesses have the chance to give their employees potentially life-saving skills this summer thanks to a special offer on an accredited Emergency First Aid at Work course.
Run by HALO Physiotherapy on Friday, July 10, the one-day course is offering two places for the price of one, giving colleagues the opportunity to become qualified first aiders together.
Running from 9.30am until 4.30pm, the course is fully accredited and is designed to give participants the confidence, practical skills and knowledge needed to respond effectively in an emergency.
Organisers say the training - which will take place at Camden House on Warwick Road - is suitable for anyone looking to learn essential first aid skills, whether for the workplace, volunteering, sports clubs or simply to feel better prepared should an emergency arise.
Sessions will be with Paul Godfrey, a HALO physiotherapist with over 30 years' experience in elite sport. Paul is a fully certified First Aid provider and has handled real medical emergencies under pressure, so you're in safe hands.
Throughout the day, attendees will learn the fundamentals of basic life support, how to recognise and respond to a range of emergency situations, and how to take control during a medical incident.
The course also includes hands-on CPR and resuscitation training using professional Resus Annie training manikins, allowing participants to practise techniques in a realistic environment under expert guidance.
In addition to life-saving practical skills, the course explores the importance of teamwork and effective leadership during emergency situations, helping participants understand how to work alongside others to provide the best possible care before emergency services arrive.

The combination of classroom-based learning and practical exercises ensures those attending leave with both nationally recognised certification and the confidence to put their new skills into practice if ever required.
Refreshment breaks will be provided throughout the day, while free on-site parking is available at Camden House. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch.
Organisers will also be running further accredited First Aid at Work courses throughout the year, with sessions planned for 14 August and 18 September.
These courses are available for £95 for two people, continuing the business's aim of making professional first aid training more accessible.
Places on the July course are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

As the organisers say: "Learning first aid is one of the most valuable skills you can have.
"In an emergency, knowing what to do in those first few minutes can make all the difference.
"Our aim is to give people the confidence to step forward and help when it matters most."
