Town councillors pay tribute to 'honourable' former Mayor of Kenilworth

Town councillors have paid tribute to an "honourable" former Mayor of Kenilworth who passed away last month.
At last week's Kenilworth Town Council meeting, members shared memories of Norman Vincett who was Mayor of Kenilworth in 2005-6.
Cllr Kate Dickson said: "I would like to remember Cllr Vincett, who was actually leader of the council when I first became a councillor.
"My memories of him are of him always being very polite, he was someone who was very proud of this town and very keen that the town council and the actions of the town council should not bring it into disrepute.
"He was a very honourable man. He was always very kind to me."
Mr Vincett also served on Warwick District Council. His funeral was held on Friday 12 September.
A minute's silence was held in his memory at Thursday's meeting.
Cllr Alan Chalmers said: "I had the pleasure of meeting Norman twice.
"He came to the past mayor events we have organised. He was a real gentleman and really excited to be among the past mayors again and swap stories with them."
He continued: "He was a real gentleman, a really lovely person and a great person to talk to.
"He was very passionate about the town and was very proud to have represented the town. He will be missed."
