A corner shop in Kenilworth is now closed as works to turn it into a Tesco Express get underway.

One Stop on Albion Street closed earlier this week for the remodel.

Nub News revealed earlier this year the shop was due for a refit, with Warwick District Council approving planning permission for the works.

The new signs have already been installed at the store, with works remodelling the interior also progressing.

The team on site told Nub News the unit is due to be handed over to the 'retail team' on Tuesday (October 27).

It is expected to reopen on Friday (October 30), but this is yet to be confirmed by the company.

One Stop has been owned by Tesco since 2003.

Nub News has contacted Tesco for more information.
