What's happening at the Kenilworth Fringe Festival this Thursday?
By James Smith 4th Feb 2026
Music, drama, politics, history and journalism will all feature at Kenilworth Fringe Festival this Thursday (February 5).
The new week-long cultural event started on Monday and continues all week at venues around the town, culminating in two full days of events at the Holiday Inn on Saturday and Sunday (February 7/8).
Thursday's events start at 4.30pm at Greens when political journalist Tor Clark, Associate Professor in Journalism at the University of Leicester, will give a talk about the importance of journalism and the challenges it is facing in a rapidly changing world.
At 5.30, also in Greens, Tor Clark will interview Kenilworth and Southam MP Sir Jeremy Wright about his career and his interest in exploring the concept of 'good government'.
At 7.30pm, local historian Robin Leach will be talking about the history of Kenilworth at Kenilworth Library. This event is sold out.
At 7pm accomplished concert pianist Julian Hellaby will be performing at Kenilworth United Reformed Church. Tickets cost £10 from the Kenilworth Chamber of Trade website or Kenilworth Books in Talisman Square.
Finally, at 7.30pm and 9pm, the Talisman Theatre's regular monthly event Talisman Fringe is incorporated into the Festival's week of events.
Individual performers will be taking to the stage to provide a varied programme of solo entertainment.
Music, song, poetry and comedy collide to show the power an individual performer can have.
The Kenilworth-based theatre warns the 7.30pm performances can often sell out, so urges would-be audience members to book early or plan to attend the repeated show at 9pm.
