Wetherspoon has submitted a licence application to Warwick District Council for its new premises in Kenilworth.
The pub giant announced in July that it would be investing £2million in the unit at The Square to turn the former Poundland shop into a pub.
As part of the process it has now applied to the council for an extended alcohol licence.
The application states that, if approved, alcohol sales would be permitted from 8am to 11pm, Sunday to Thursday and from 8am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
Extended sales hours would be permitted on bank holidays as well as Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.
Wetherspoon has also applied to have opening hours of 7am to 11.30pm Sunday to Thursday and until 0.30am on Fridays and Saturdays - again with later closing allowed on bank holidays and Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.
Residents have until October 13 to comment on the application.
Nub News reported earlier this month that Wetherspoon had withdrawn its planning application for the premises.
A company spokesperson said: "There is a discrepancy on the plans and our planning consultant's advice was to resubmit rather than amend the application.
"We are still committed to opening a pub in Kenilworth."
Wetherspoon did not say what the discrepancy was, but a fresh proposal is expected to be submitted soon.
Kenilworth Town Council objected to the original plans, with councillors raising concerns about the proposed beer garden at the rear of the premises.
However, members were in agreement that turning the empty shop into a pub would benefit the town centre.
It was revealed yesterday that Wetherspoon would be closing 32 of its venues across England, mainly in London and the south east.
