Strikes by Warwickshire's Stagecoach drivers have been suspended as members are balloted over a new pay deal.
Around 350 drivers - who are members of the union Unite - were due to walk out tomorrow (September 5) as part of the ongoing pay dispute.
However, Stagecoach has now table a new deal for workers and the strike has been suspended.
Unite regional officer Sulinder Singh said: "Following an improved offer from Stagecoach, Unite has suspended strikes in order to ballot its members on the new offer."
If the deal is rejected, indefinite strike action will begin on Tuesday 12 September.
Unite members had already rejected a pay offer of 7.8 per cent for the first year and 4.5 per cent plus £100 for the second year.
The drivers, who are paid £14 an hour, operate from depots in Nuneaton, Leamington and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Stagecoach controls 87 per cent of the bus network in Warwickshire, with routes also extending into Coventry.
