Two men arrested for stealing carp at Earlswood Lakes

Two men have been arrested for stealing carp from Earlswood Lakes.

Warwickshire Police's rural crime team found bags of carp inside a nearby vehicle after stopping the men.

The vehicle was also seized by the force.

"Thanks to vigilant anglers at Earlswood Lakes, our team recently located two males suspected of stealing carp from Engine Pool," a police statement said.

"Following the use of stop search powers, bags containing a number of carp were found hidden inside a nearby vehicle and both males were arrested for theft offences.

"The vehicle has also been seized for various traffic related issues."
