Time running out to have your say on late alcohol licence at Kenilworth hotel
By James Smith 6th Apr 2026
Locals have just a few days left to have their say on a local hotel's application for a late alcohol licence.
The Riverside Hotel has applied for permission to sell alcohol from 9am to 2am, seven days a week.
If approved, the licence would allow for the sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the premises.
The deadline for feedback and objections from locals is April 8.
The application - from Savera Warwick Limited - asks for permission to host indoor live music, boxing and wrestling, films, plays and indoor sporting events during the same times.
Many licence applications include similar provisions, even if the venue does not intend to host such events.
"The premises will adopt the Challenge 25 scheme with appropriate signage to be placed at the entrance to the premises and adjacent to the counter area," the application said.
The licence bid comes just weeks after Nub News revealed the hotel had extended patios without planning permission.
The Riverside Hotel was home to more than 100 refugees between December 2021 and early 2024.
