Debut author Stephanie Bramwell-Lawes will be the guest of honour at a special supper club event this April.

Local book lovers are in for a treat later this month as Kenilworth Books hosts the latest literary event, on Wednesday 15 April.

Steph will be heading to Kenilworth Senior Citizens Club to tell audiences all about her new novel 'Thornby Manor'.

For just £10 a ticket, local book lovers can also enjoy a slice of quiche and salad while they listen.

Bookseller Charlotte Vaughan told Nub News: "We are very excited to have Steph come and join us this April. Kenilworth Books is all about celebrating authors, particularly local ones.

"Warwickshire resident Steph is kindly giving up her time to give a real insight into the world of writing and publishing. Her book, Thornby Manor, is an 'intoxicating' historical mystery. Readers who loved Jane Eyre, Rebecca and The Silent Companions will definitely want to find out more."

Charlotte will host the event and discuss with Steph her inspirations behind the book as well as her writing methods.

The event is expected to sell out quickly - so make sure you book your ticket soon.

"All our previous supper clubs have been really well supported and enjoyed," Charlotte continued.

"They're a great insight into the world of writing - even if the author maybe isn't someone whose books you have read before. And for just £10, it's a fantastic opportunity to come and hear directly from a published author."

Charlotte also thanked Stephanie for stepping in after Gillian McAllister - who had been due to attend - was no longer able to be present.

Book your ticket on the Kenilworth Books website.
