Thieves threatened to stab the owner of a Toyota Hilux in Kenilworth on Friday (August 23) as they broke into his vehicle.

Kenilworth Watch has shared a witness appeal for the incident which saw four men in balaclavas smash and damage two windows and the windscreen of the vehicle on Essex Close.

"The owner of the motor vehicle was awoken by the noise of the vehicle windows being smashed and ran out of his property," the statement said.

"The offenders were stealing a hedge trimmer and saw, and they threatened the vehicle owner with a crowbar and threatened to stab him."

The robbery reportedly took place at 1am on Friday 23 August.
