A new bar and grill, offering an extensive menu, has opened in Kenilworth.

Feather Bar & Grill launched at the Peacock Hotel in April, just weeks after new owners business partners Subbu Meyyappan and Peri Murugaraman took over.

The duo have converted a former sitting room at the Warwick Road venue into an "exciting" new restaurant, which comes with a menu packed with burgers, loaded fries, grills and much more.

"At the moment in Kenilworth there isn't really anywhere doing these American-style, Miami-style burgers with the smashed patties like we are," Peri explained.

"But we also have the steaks, the pastas and some salads, so there is a real mix.

"There is nowhere else in Kenilworth offering a menu like this, with such quality food at such great value.

"Prices start at £7.95 so it is very reasonable, but we have not compromised on the quality at all.

"And it is not just burgers - there is something here for the whole family, including a couple of curries too!"

All the food at Feather Bar & Grill is made fresh, with most of the ingredients sourced locally.

The menu includes seven different loaded fries, 15 different burgers and even has space for a few curries on there as well.

Alongside getting the Peacock back up to scratch, Peri and Subbu have spent weeks renovating the new restaurant and said they are "delighted" with the new look.

And they explained it adds yet another offer to the already popular hotel.

"This really helps with the hotel as well, as now we have 32 rooms, the Malaysian restaurant in Raffles and now Feather Bar & Grill," Subbu explained.

"So if someone comes for 10 days, maybe they don't want Malaysian food in Raffles every night, so now we are giving them lots of choice and at an affordable price all under one roof.

"We are serving the local community as well as our guests from much further afield."

Feather Bar & Grill - which name follows on from the Peacock Hotel - is also available for locals to enjoy from the comfort of their homes, with a new takeaway offer already launched.

Home deliveries can be ordered from up to three miles away, both online and through the restaurant's new app.

And to celebrate the launch of the new eatery, the duo are running a 10 per cent discount on food for the next few weeks - for customers dining at the restaurant.

"We have had lots of good reviews already," Subbu added.

"And lots of people when they get the food served to them they say 'wow' - which is great to hear.

"We just want as many locals now to come and try Feather Bar & Grill.

"We don't want the restaurant to be just for guests, we want it to be a place for the local community to come and enjoy."
