Here are our top picks for the coming days.
1. Valentine's Market
Head to Abbey End on Sunday 9 February for the 2025 Valentine's Market.
Organisers CJ's Events Warwickshire said: "Join us at Abbey End for our Valentine's Market!
"We're bringing together a delightful array of traders offering unique gifts and thoughtful presents for your loved ones.
"Enjoy a romantic atmosphere filled with love, creativity, and community spirit.
"Don't miss the chance to find that perfect gift and make your Valentine's Day truly special!"
2. Talisman Fringe
It's the first Thursday of the month which means it is time for Talisman Fringe at the Holiday Inn.
The advert from the Talisman Theatre said: "Produced by Rod Wilkinson, our upcoming February Fringe show promises an evening filled with heart, humour, and humanity.
"With four songs, three plays, two hosts, and one stunning dance performance, it's an event you won't want to miss."
3. Present Laughter
The fun does not stop with fringe for the Talisman this week though, with its first mainstage show of the season starting on Monday 10 February.
Written in 1939 but delayed in its debut due to the Second World War, this farcical comedy has enjoyed enduring popularity through multiple revivals on stage and screen.
Under the direction of Vanessa Comer, this "absurd comedy" is the "perfect antidote to the winter blues".
Set in the 1940s, Present Laughter invites audiences into the chaotic world of Garry Essendine, an internationally renowned actor and writer (closely modelled on Coward himself) whose self-obsessed persona is as dazzling as it is unravelling.
Reflecting on the enduring appeal of Present Laughter, director Vanessa Comer shares: "Coward wrote Present Laughter as a star vehicle for himself, weaving Garry's eccentricities from his own personality and drawing inspiration for the colourful supporting cast from his inner circle.
"Delayed three years by the outbreak of WWII, the play's eventual debut was met with critical acclaim, leading to numerous revivals across stage, screen, and television."
4. Tree House Sessions
Live music returns to the Tree House Bookshop on Saturday for the latest Treehouse Sessions.
The sessions are the Tree House bookshop's monthly open mic night – without a mic – and the next one runs this Saturday, 8 February. Poets, musicians, spoken word artists and more are welcome to perform in the cosy surroundings of a second-hand bookshop in Kenilworth.
There is no entrance fee to the evening, although cash donations for the bookshop are encouraged and books are for sale all evening. Performers simply sign up on arrival, while anyone attending is welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks.
