A national asset finance firm has recorded its most successful year to date, helping to finance over £50 million for businesses across the country in 2023.

UK Asset Solutions - which has roots in Kenilworth - was launched over a decade ago, working with firms across a variety of sectors including construction, engineering, transport, plastics, packaging, printing and the renewable energy market.

The company, which has experienced professionals working nationwide, has continued to expand its operation and in 2023 provided well over 600 finance arrangements supporting its clients to achieve their business expansion goals.

"Looking back over the last 10 years, the changes and growth in our company have been amazing," said Jon Sanders, director of the company.

"We've steadily expanded year after year, staying true to our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

"The role of supporting our customers with tailored finance solutions has been incredibly rewarding."

Fellow director Martin Tyrer added: "It's great to witness first-hand the positive impact our services have had on numerous companies over the years.

"The dedication of our team has been instrumental, driving us to expand our operations across the UK, ensuring we can cater to the needs of customers nationwide."

"We are very proud as a firm to have hit that £50 million."

Putting Clients First

The company said last year's success was down to a variety of factors, including the team expanding and the market picking up.

But most of all, the firm's commitment to putting clients first has continued to put them in good stead.

"It is all about understanding what our customers want and the specific needs they have," Sam Tyrer of UK asset solutions explained to Nub News.

"We really pride ourselves in fully understanding our customers needs and requirements, and then offering them tailored solutions

"Every company is different, every scenario is different so everything we have to do is bespoke.

"Having strong relationships with customers, understanding how their company operates and knowing how to support them with their investments has been really important.

"Doing whatever we can to help assist customers and take as much pressure off them is vital."

What do Brokers Do?

UK Asset Solutions offers a range of services, including hire purchase, leasing, asset refinance, invoice finance and property finance, and works with over 30 lenders to get the best deals for its customers.

They work with lenders to secure the best finance options for clients, in terms of finance product, interest rates and repayment profiles.

And most importantly, they allow customers to focus fully on running their business.

The advantage of using a broker is, an experienced finance professional is doing all the work for you," Sam added.

"When required we can get finance approvals turned around really quickly, meaning we can arrange the finance and the customer can focus on what assets the business needs and concentrate on business operations.

"We have our customers best interests in mind and want to secure them the best deals.

"Over the years we have also built great relationships with our lenders and can help find solutions to problems in a way the customers often couldn't."

Who Do They Work With?

Sam explained that a lot of businesses do not always realise there is help out there for them to work towards their goals.

However UK Asset Solutions offers a bespoke approach, working with customers of varying size across a variety of sectors, to achieve a range of short and long term goals.

"We work with business's ranging from one-man band operations to larger corporate customers of any size including new-start businesses where we can," Sam explained.

"We are very active in the engineering, manufacturing, construction and transportation sectors, additionally, we provide support to companies in packaging, print, agriculture, leisure, property, renewable energy and any other sectors seeking financial solutions.

"No Sectors are excluded, we cater to diverse business needs, for example we have even arranged finance for Ice Cream Vans, Sunbeds, and Fairground rides

"So really, we work with anyone who wants to help finance their business requirements.

Another way UK Asset Solutions has had success is by building relationships with equipment, machinery and commercial vehicle suppliers.

"We a pride ourselves on our supplier relationships," Sam explained.

"Our services extend to companies that sell assets, enabling them to provide finance options to their customers to support their sale.

"UK Asset Solutions will arrange finance with the customer directly, enabling the supplier to finalise the sale and the customer to acquire the asset, in some cases this is a key factor in closing the sale for both the supplier and their customer so it's a win-win for all parties involved.

"If any suppliers are regularly asked if they provide finance and feel we can support their sales process, please get in touch."

Expansion and Moving Forward

Having been launched by three directors over a decade ago, the company has continued to grow, financing £15 million more in deals last year compared to 2021.

Over the past 12 months the company has refreshed its website - with the help of local firm Ada Digital - and has also launched a LinkedIn channel.

"We want to boost our social presence to remind companies that we are there to help them when needed."

In the last year UK Asset Solutions has also taken on two new recruits.

One of those is Sam, Kenilworth born and bred, who left his job at JLR to join the firm.

And now after just a year, he says he has not looked back.

"I have come into the business obviously in difficult times nationally, but it is already clear to see the potential that is there to help other businesses," he said.

"I am really motivated to get involved and help take those numbers further.

"Meeting new people, working with new clients and forming those relationships is very rewarding.

"It is great working with companies looking to expand, supporting them with their growth plans and following them on their journey. We don't just want to help with a one-off purchase, we want to build the relationship with our customers and continue to assist them in the future.

"One company I have helped buy their first machine, then their second, and you can just see how you are helping them develop and expand their operations."
