1. Tour of Britain

The Lloyds Tour of Britain Women is returning to Kenilworth for its final stage on Sunday 23 August.

The closing stage of the UK's premier women's stage race will bring world-class riders into the heart of Warwickshire, showcasing the county to a national and international audience as the race reaches its dramatic conclusion.

From the start in Leamington, the 77-mile (123.8km) route will head north to Kenilworth, before heading through Stoneleigh towards Princethorpe, along the Fosse Way to Wellesbourne and Shipston-on-Stour.

Riders will then tackle Sun Rising Hill and Burton Dassett Hills Country Park before heading to Southam and back to Leamington.

The race will set off from Leamington at 11am and is expected to reach Kenilworth at around 11.25am.

2. Saturday Signing

Kenilworth Books' latest community event takes place this Saturday (22 August).

Head down to the Talisman Square store to meet author Andy Mullaney, who will be showcasing his new book, Didn't Anyone Ever Tell You? Never Trust A Fart.

3. Great British Summer

This summer, English Heritage's Kenilworth Castle invites visitors to enjoy a Great British Summer (18 July – 28 August), celebrating the timeless joy of traditional holidays and pastimes remembered fondly by generations.

From seaside staples such as ice creams and fairground games, circus skills and deck chairs, puppet shows and sandcastle building, the summer events at Kenilworth Castle showcase many of the experiences associated with a classic British summer.

Plus, kids can collect a limited-edition postcard by renowned children's illustrators Nick Sharratt or Sir Quentin Blake, grab a souvenir passport and collect special stamps to complete their summer adventure.
