Coventry City fans heading to Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup Semi Final by train are being asked by rail firms across the region to check their journey before they travel.

Chiltern Railways is expecting a high number of passengers to travel on its route to and from the event on Sunday (April 21) as the Sky Blues take on Manchester United.

In anticipation of the event, Chiltern has worked alongside other train operating companies to provide additional capacity for supporters travelling to and from the match.

There are over 25 morning services from local/regional stations towards London for travel to the event, with a similar amount after the match.

These additional services include:

  • Avanti West Coast – An additional service will depart Coventry at 09:02 for London Euston with seats available to book online now at www.avantiwestcoast.co.uk
  • West Midland Trains – Two additional services will run from Coventry on the Sunday morning, with additional capacity provided after the game. To see more visit https://wmr.uk/facupsemifinal
  • Chiltern Railways – Five additional services will run from Warwick Parkway and Leamington Spa to Wembley Stadium, and again after the match. In addition, the service will be enhanced to provide extra stops at Wembley Stadium. For more details please visit www.chilternrailways.co.uk/facupsemifinal

While additional and longer trains will be in operation, services will be much busier than usual, so customers are asked to check before they travel and allow extra time to complete their trip.

Queuing systems will be in place at Warwick Parkway and Leamington Spa before the event.

A queuing system will also be in place at Wembley Stadium station after the match, with additional services running. Customers should expect some extended queuing times due to the crowds leaving the venue all at the same time.

All additional services to Leamington Spa and Warwick Parkway will start at Wembley Stadium station, so customers should ensure that they join the correct queue for their journey home.

Fans are strongly encouraged to book in advance to avoid having to queue to buy tickets on the day. Fans can either buy online or visit their station before Sunday 21 April to get their tickets.
