Sheep from a local farm have been taken to Abbey Fields to help "manage" the meadow area.

The Lleyn/Texel cross sheep are from East Chase Farm and have been brought in following the grass being cut.

Warwick District Council said while the sheep graze they "tread wildflower seeds into the ground so they will germinate".

They also eat much of the grass and other faster growing plants to give the wildflowers space and time to thrive," the council said.

"And when they lie down to chew the cud, they have a fantastic view of Kenilworth Castle!"
