Replacement bus warning for Kenilworth, Coventry and Birmingham trains as lines to close for 'improvement works'
By James Smith 1st May 2026
Rail replacement buses will run to and from Kenilworth Railway Station later this month as the line is closed for "improvement works".
"Planned engineering work" is taking place between Coventry and Birmingham International across Saturday 30 May and Sunday 31 May and is set to have a knock-on effect in Warwickshire.
Works are causing multiple cancellations and replacements across the network in Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
Services across Saturday 30 May and Sunday 31 May to Kenilworth will all be run by replacement buses.
The move comes as the Leamington Spa to Nuneaton line is also closed due to the "essential Network Rail works".
No Cross Country trains will call at Coventry and Birmingham International over the weekend.
London Northwestern Railway services between Coventry and Birmingham New Street will run between Birmingham International and Birmingham New Street only.
There will be rail replacement buses between Rugby / Coventry and Birmingham International.
Train services between Birmingham New Street and Kings Norton (via Kings Heath) will run to an amended timetable.
Network Rail has not given precise details as to what the works will actually entail.
