Local singers are being invited to join rehearsals with Warwick and Kenilworth Choral Society this year.

Rehearsals for Giuseppe Verdi's dramatic choral Work, his Requiem (which is a cross between a mass and an opera), started on Monday, January 9.

They will continue every Monday at 7.30pm at Coten End Primary School, Warwick, until the concert on April 29 at All Saints, Leamington Spa.

The choir is set to combine with Coventry Phil for a mass size chorus with up to 130 singers.

Organisers said: "More than half of WKCS singers come from Kenilworth, and many of the most successful concerts have been in Kenilworth.

"Come and join.

"We are especially looking for Tenors and Altos. But dust off that deep bass voice too, or tune up that soprano in you."
