A new healthcare agency, which opened in Kenilworth at the end of last year, has welcomed a new member of staff as it looks to expand its offering.

Jeff Maynard has come on board as the new field supervisor at Kare Plus Kenilworth, just months after the business announced it had smashed national records for growth.

The Talisman Square-based firm is now getting ready to launch its home care service which will offer personalised domiciliary care plans for residents across Warwickshire, South Coventry and East Birmingham.

This will add to the home help service and staff for care homes Kare Plus already provides.

"Things over the past few months have been going really well and we have had a lot of interest through the home help, which is good and sets us up in good stead for when we launch the domiciliary care," senior operations executive Tracey Frisby told Nub News.

"It is really good for us at the moment because we have already got a waiting list.

"We have already got a waiting list of clients and a waiting list of staff who are ready to come on board with the community side.

"We have clients at the moment who have home help through us but will also be looking to get personal care as well."

Once Kare Plus Kenilworth has received its accreditation from the Care Quality Commission, it will then be able to help roll out the service.

And Jeff, who started in March, will be perfectly placed to help with the expansion.

Having previously worked in care himself, he said making the decision to join Kare Plus was an easy one.

"It was Tracey really, she sold me the business," he explained.

"It was a different role, working with clients and staff. I met the team before I started and I thought they were excellent, and I wanted to join.

"It is such a rewarding job, you feel like you are doing something worthwhile."

The business was launched by Kavi Pryagh last October, who himself worked as a carer for Bupa for three years until 2009 before pursuing a career in the retail industry.

And with Jeff joining the team, Kavi said he was proud of how much they have achieved so quickly.

"Now Jeff has started, we have a really good team in place and we are able to see clearly how we will grow further and where we will go," he said.

"It's all about the team and the people we are helping.

"The team is experienced, they know the industry. We want to grow as a business and develop the team.

"A lot of people take years to have a set up like this, that we have achieved in just months."

And operations executive Eliza Brown added: "It is nice seeing the business grow, having been here six months you can see how far we have come already.

"Being here for that amount of time, it is really nice to see. It is such a nice team here."
