Nearly £12,000 has been raised as the Rotary Club of Kenilworth has sold all 3,000 of its charity advent calendas ahead of scheduled.

In just six weeks the group has completely sold out of its Kenilworth Advent Calendar which was launched as a new festive fundraiser this year.

The money raised will be shared among The Waverley Centre, Myton Hospices, Compassionate Kenilworth, the Kenilworth Centre and the Talisman Theatre.

Commencing on December 1, there will be prizes to be won each day during advent. Each prize has been donated by generous retailers and service providers from across the town.

The club said: "Kenilworth Rotary wants to thank everyone who purchased one of our advent calendars and remind them to check the website to see if they've won a prize.

"Winning numbers will also be displayed on a noticeboard in Talisman Square.

"It just remains for all of us in Rotary to wish everyone luck when they check to see if they've won. Some prizes are time-limited so please look early and often.

"The Rotary Club of Kenilworth is seeking volunteers who would enjoy working on this and other initiatives. Individuals or businesses who would like to get involved should contact us at [email protected]."
