Plans to build a house in the gardens of a Kenilworth care home have resurfaced nearly four years after they were previously refused.
A planning application for the home at Kenilworth Manor Nursing Home has been submitted by Clarendon Care Services Ltd.
In 2022 an application for a four-bed house and dementia garden at the Thickthorn Close site was thrown out by Warwick District Council.
This latest submission says the 'self-build dwelling' would be built in an area of "disused lawn" at the grade II listed site.
Council planners said the previous scheme was "incongruous and inappropriate siting," and had a "harmful impact on the setting of the nearby listed building".
The fresh plan says it has addressed these concerns.
It said: "This application responds to the issues raised by the council insofar as a less sensitive location is proposed at the southern end of the property, abutting the lower car park.
"This benefits from nearby vehicular access and is less sensitive in terms of tree and ecological constraints.
"A new dwelling here would, in settlement pattern terms, continue the line of housing within Thickthorn Orchards."
The latest submission is for 'permission in principle' for the building.
