Incredible overhead images taken on Monday (January 6) have shown the extent of the flooding around Kenilworth.

Taken by Arthur Belgrove, the images show the ford completely impassable due to the water levels but also due to the mature tree which fell completely blocking the road.

Warwickshire County Council said in the afternoon it was working to remove the obstruction but could only do so once the water levels dropped and "there is safe access to the site".

"We are monitoring the situation closely to ensure that the tree is removed in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner," the local authority said.

Other images show the fields behind Kenilworth Castle completely submerged - with many residents taking to social media to say the moat had returned.

The final images show the water levels incredibly high around the house adjacent to the Castle Road ford.

A weather warning was issued for Finham Brook on Monday with the waterway bursting its banks and flooding around Abbey Fields.

The duck feeding station was completely submerged.
