It has been announced this week that there is a new opportunity for a mobile food outlet in Abbey Fields, Kenilworth.

Warwick District Council, who oversee the maintenance of Abbey Fields, are opening applications for a new food vender to set up in the town's park.

Abbey Fields offers a great opportunity for a new outlet, with the playground, brook, leisure centre and large open grassland attracting huge numbers of visitors daily.

The district council is offering a location in front of the swimming pool complex, for an operator to run a mobile food provision service whilst the current café located in the building is out of action.

The council have said "This opportunity is suitable for businesses with a mobile van or kiosk offering food and beverages that is able to be removed from site at the end of each working day due to the lack of secure facilities for storage.

"The temporary acquisition of this site would be an ideal opportunity for a local business to branch out. The operator will be expected to provide a quality service providing hot and cold drinks, snacks such as cakes and sandwiches, ice creams etc."

Questions can be sent to [email protected] before 27 November 2020 with the closing date for applications will be 4 December 2020.

All applications to be returned to Simon Richardson via email also - [email protected].

The final decision will be made by the 16 December 2020.
