Nobody was left injured after a house fire in Albion Street, Kenilworth yesterday (April 25).

Crews from Kenilworth Fire Station responded to reports that persons were trapped inside the house due to a fire. However, upon arrival it transpired that the fire was actually in the garden.

The fire was so hot that the house's windows cracked.

Crews were able to put out the fire, and use thermal imaging cameras to make sure that the incident had been fully dealt with.

There were no injuries and everybody was accounted for.

A statement from Kenilworth Fire Station yesterday said: "Just before 11.00am today [Sunday 25] we were mobilised to reports of a house fire with persons reported trapped inside on Albion Street in Kenilworth.

"On our arrival it became apparent this was a fire in the garden of the property which had caused the windows of the house to crack due to the heat. Thankfully all persons were accounted for and nobody was injured.

"Crews used a hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire was fully extinguished."
